Often, a business’s products or services will have numerous features or be especially complex, making it difficult to describe to clients and it’s intended audience. Let’s take a look at how video solved a problem for a client of ours – Powerhouse Dynamics.

Powerhouse’s eMonitor product is an energy management system that allows businesses to reduce their costs by remotely monitoring and controlling energy usage. There are an amazing amount of useful features and applications. Attempting to describe these through PDFs or a webpage can get long-winded and confusing. Most people are visual learners and like to see and hear how something works, especially if presented succinctly and in an engaging manner.

And that’s where Squash House came in: developing three short videos demonstrating features and benefits of the eMonitor. Not only did we film how their product worked, but we did so by recreating real-life scenarios, such as showing the story of a focused chef who doesn’t realize he left all his equipment running overnight. Through the use of footage and screen-captures of the eMonitor, the video shows how the restaurant manager solves this issue. By telling a story, we are able to engage and inform the viewer at the same time.
